OVERVIEW

Kate D'hotman is a Cape Town-based producer and production manager with over 15 years of experience across commercials, brand films, documentaries and long-form television and film. Known for her resourcefulness and calm, hands-on approach under pressure, she has managed producing and production duties on major international campaigns for brands including Heinz, Citroën, Samsung and Mastercard, alongside long-form work spanning feature film, TV pilot and documentary. Beyond her production work, Kate is an accomplished writer and director in her own right: her comedy-horror short film Life's a Drag won Sundance TV Shorts, was licensed by AMC Networks and broadcast on DStv, and went on to secure NFVF development funding as a TV series. Versatile and adaptable, she is regarded across the industry as a true all-rounder — the “Swiss Army knife” of production.
