OVERVIEW

Fredrick “Rick” Higgs is a Gauteng-based Steadicam, Camera, Drone and Gimbal Operator with close to a decade of experience across feature films, drama series, reality television, commercials, documentaries and music videos. He started out as a camera and shooting assistant on documentary, reality and travel productions, before working his way up through lighting camera work to specialise as a steadicam owner-operator, gimbal/Ronin operator and licensed drone pilot. Rick describes himself as a hybrid shooter, equally at home combining ENG camera operating with drone, gimbal or steadicam work on a single shoot. His reality television cinematography earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for Survivor US (2020), and his credits span production in more than 50 countries, including international shows such as I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here (UK) and The Terminal List/Vacation Creation.    REQUEST CV
