OVERVIEW

William Douglas is a Cape Town-based Director of Photography with over seven years' experience across commercials, branded content, documentaries, music videos and short films. He began his career as a documentary filmmaker with Ginkgo Agency, before building and running an in-house content studio for Virgin Active's online workout series. He went on to co-found the production company Rooibos Films, where he now shoots the majority of his commercial and branded content work. William brings a versatile, story-first eye to set, moving comfortably between fast-turnaround branded content and more considered narrative and documentary projects, and has shot campaigns for clients and agencies including Ogilvy, Nestlé, RelyComply and Virgin Active.
