OVERVIEW

William Collinson is a Cape Town-based Director of Photography, Camera Operator and Director with close to two decades of experience across feature film, television series, documentary and commercial production. A full member of the South African Society of Cinematographers (SASC), William has shot dozens of feature films, series and documentaries for South African and international broadcasters and streamers, including Netflix and M-Net, alongside an extensive commercial and music video reel for agencies such as Ogilvy Africa and Metropolitan Republic. His work on “Last Broken Darkness” earned him the SASC Visible Spectrum Award for Best Cinematography in a Feature Film, and “Jagveld” won the Jury Award for Best Feature Drama at the Woods Hole Film Festival.
