OVERVIEW

Renier De Jager is a Cape Town-based Focus Puller/1st Assistant Camera and Camera Operator with three years' experience in the film and television industry. A graduate of City Varsity's Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television Techniques, he went on to complete a specialised Cinematography Skills Programme with Reel Partners and Panavision, building a technical grounding that spans focus pulling, digital imaging and gimbal operation. His camera department experience spans drama series, commercials, music videos and video content, including work on Media24's Die Babbelbende. Known for his strong work ethic and hands-on passion for the craft, he invests in his own filmmaking equipment – including a personal follow focus rig – to keep developing outside of paid work.
