OVERVIEW

Evelyn Gambe is a seasoned make-up, hair and prosthetics designer with over three decades of experience across film and television production on the African continent and internationally, spanning feature films, drama series and commercials for platforms including Netflix, CBS/Showtime, Disney and the BBC. Known for bringing directors' visions to life under pressure, her craft ranges from glamorous beauty looks and period transformations to intricate wound sculpting, scarification and tribal body art. She was a nominee for Best Make-Up and Hair Stylist for Television and Drama at the 6th Annual SAFTAs (2012) for Sokhulu & Partners, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Zimbabwe International Film Festival (2021).
