OVERVIEW

Alpheus Manaka is a Key Grip with over 30 years of experience in the South African film and television industry. He began his career in 1994 with MCC, later joining Logical Designs for hands-on technical grip experience, and completed a Loader's Course in 1996 before establishing himself in the Grip Department. Over three decades he has worked across an extensive range of productions, including landmark South African titles such as Tsotsi, District 9, White Lion and Shaka Ilembe, spanning feature films, television series, commercials, music videos, documentaries and corporate work. Known for his strong work ethic, technical expertise and reliability, Alpheus is recognised for his problem-solving ability, attention to safe and efficient on-set practices, and for building positive working relationships with cast and crew across every production he joins.
